The Utah State Historical Society and American Heritage Tours are sponsoring a trip Jan. 26-28 in conjunction with the 110th commemoration of the pioneer descent through the Hole-in-the-Rock in San Juan County.

Buses will leave the historical society, 300 Rio Grande (400 West), at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, for the Wahweap Lodge. That evening, Gregory Crampton, noted Western historian and author of three books on southeastern Utah and the Glen Canyon area, will speak.On Jan. 27, boats will depart from the Wahweap marina at 7:30 a.m. for Cottonwood Canyon, where descendants of the pioneer party will present a program. Following lunch, the boats will cross Lake Powell to the Hole-in-the-Rock. Boats will stop at Rainbow Bridge on their return to the marina.

Cost for the tour is $193 for historical society members and $208 for non-members based on double occupancy. Single occupancy is $31 extra.
