The 1991 Women's Conference at Brigham Young University will be April 11 and 12, BYU President Rex E. Lee has announced.

More than 4,000 women and men are expected to participate in the two-day conference, which will include nearly 50 lectures, workshops, panel discussions and performances involving about 100 presenters, he said.Carol Lee Hawkins, chairwoman of the conference planning committee, said that since attendance in the past has reached far beyond the university community, the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is joining this year in co-sponsoring the conference.

"The format will emphasize the diversity of women's experiences and focus on scholarship, cultural enrichment and spiritual insight," Hawkins said.

Registration applications and information are available at BYU Conferences and Workshops, 147 Harman Building, BYU, Provo, Utah 84602; phone (801) 378-7692.
