Jack Conwell Deamer, age 72, died Sunday, October 14, 1990.
He was born April 1, 1918, in North Ogden, Utah, son of Joseph C. Deamer and Dica Woodland. He married Jean Purdie of Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Weber State College and Utah State University. He was an accountant and past president of the Utah Society of Public Accountants. He operated his own public accounting firm in Ogden for over 30 years. He later became a CPA and was appointed by the governor to the Utah State Board of Accountancy. He served in World War II as an artillery officer in Europe with the Santa Fe Division, where he received the Bronze Star and other combat decorations. He completed his military career of 23 years with the Utah National Guard, retiring with the rank of captain. He played the sax and clarinet professionally in numerous dance bands. He was a life member of the Ogden Elks Lodge, District Governor and past president of the 20/30 Club and an Elder in the LDS Church.He is survived by: His wife, children, Michael (and Evelyn), of Centerville, Utah; Susan (and Dean) Holbrook, Paul (and Ellen), of North Ogden; and Rob (and Sheree), of Ogden; 14 grandchildren; brother, Marvin Joseph Deamer, North Ogden; sister, Beverly McColley, presently serving a mission in West Germany. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim, and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 No. Washington Blvd., North Ogden, Utah, on Wednesday, October 17, 1990, at 1 p.m. Viewing Tuesday, October 16, 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment at No. Ogden Cemetery.
