Ross Thurston, 85, of Las Vegas, former Cache Valley resident, died October 15, 1990 in a Las Vegas hospital.
Born September 20, 1905 in Hyde Park, Utah, the son of Simpson B. and Rosabell Follett Thurston. He married Aletha Woolf, December 21, 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad.Survivors include three sons, Ross Devoe and Gerry Thurston, Las Vegas, Nevada; Archie W. and Margene Thurston, Bear River City; Ferris and Anita Thurston, Brigham City; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Kathryn) Herbert, Covena, California; 16 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Ollie F. Thurston, Hyde Park; Zella T. Ault, Logan; LaRay T. Roskelley, Smithfield; Arlynn T. Olsen, Paradise. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held October 20, 1990, 1 p.m., Logan City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Saturday morning 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
