David Eliason, Tremonton, Box Elder County, has been named chairman of the Utah Agricultural Soil and Conservation Committee, and Pamela R. Turner, Morgan, has been appointed a new member of the committee, which oversees the administration of federal farm programs in Utah.
Eliason, a farmer and rancher who produces cattle, grain and hay, replaces Robert J. Holt, Enterprise, Washington County, who recently resigned as chairman.Turner has been the owner and manager of a 1,100-acre dry farm in Morgan County since 1969. She produces wheat, alfalfa hay and barley and has improved pasture for cattle feeding. From 1969 to 1986 she was owner and manager of Clark's Feed and Seed Store in Morgan.
