Francis Lyman Rasmussen, 84, died October 1, 1990 in Ferron.
Born May 24, 1906 in Castle Dale, Utah to Erastus and Mary Rasmussen. Married Ida Wild Behunin in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death.Francis was a member of the LDS Church and held many ward and stake positions. He was a successful farmer and cattleman. He belonged to the Cattle Breeders Association, was a director and watermaster of Mammoth Canal, member of Emery County Junior Livestock Show Committee, Blue and Gold Writing Club, Contributor to the FFA and 4-H youth groups. He was very ambitious and particular about his farmwork. He worked in the LDS Church Coalmine, Wilburg, Brandon and Wattis Mines. He mined coal in the fall and winter months and farmed during the spring and summer.
Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Elda Rasmussen, Sandy; sister, Maree Peacock Ware, Orangeville; brother-in-law, Darrel Hansen, Sandy; step-children, Dale Behunin of California; Mary Lou Parker of Price; Mrs. Bill May Jorgensen of Castle Dale.
He will be missed by his family and many friends who loved him.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 1990 at 1 p.m. in the Ferron 3rd/4th Ward Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Castle Dale Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
