For diehard football fans looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday on Jan. 27 in Tampa, Fla., the news on tickets is not encouraging: getting one may be harder than kicking a 50-yard field goal.
"When people call, we tell them quite curtly that if they don't have season tickets already, Super Bowl tickets are not available," said Barbara Casey. Those who can't get into the game might consider a trip to Tampa itself or its sister cities of Orlando and St. Petersburg over the Super Bowl weekend. There will be a parade in downtown Tampa as well as concerts.
The Tampa Super Bowl Task Force (813-225-2525) said it could provide advice on lodging, restaurants and activities.
