A senior conservative deputy called for an investigation of the leader of the renamed Communist Party of former East Germany in connection with a $65 million payment to Moscow.

When police searched the Berlin offices of the Party of Democratic Socialism, the new name of the Communist Party, they found two documents showing that the party had recently transferred the sum to Moscow academies for the training of functionaries.
