The U.S. Forest Service has announced year-round visitor center operations at Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The Bureau of Reclamation has self-guided tours of the dam from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Forest Service hosts are available to provide information and show movies about the area, as well as offer maps, postcards and books on nature and history.The Lucerne, Greendale and Dripping Springs campgrounds will remain open throughout the winter. Also open will be the Deep Creek, Browne Lake, Spirit Lake and Antelope Flat campgrounds, though access roads will not be plowed of snow.

To enhance winter fun on the Ashley National Forest, several new cross country ski and snowmobile trails are being planned for Flaming Gorge, and a new waterproof map will soon be published.
