The John Atlantic Burr ferry at Lake Powell will be out of service from Nov. 1 through Nov. 11 for its annual inspection and routine maintenance.
The ferry operates between Bullfrog and Hall's Crossing marinas.The ferry is undergoing an intensive inspection required by the U.S. Coast Guard every five years. The inspection will include underwater photos of the hull. The ferry's props and drive units will be refurbished and minor repairs and touch-up painting will be performed.

Service will resume Nov. 12 using the winter schedule. The ferry will operate from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with departure from Hall's Crossing on the even hours and from Bullfrog on the odd hours.
