Three million Evenflo child-safety seats have been recalled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The problem with the seats is that the buckle can look and feel buckled even when it is not completely latched. If not latched properly, the buckle can release during a crash.Owners of the recalled safety seats may obtain the free repair kit from Evenflo by calling 1 (800) 837-8926 or writing to Evenflo, 1801 Commerce Drive, Piqua, OH 45356.
Parents can continue to use the safety seats until the repair is made by ensuring that the buckle is fully engaged by vigorously pulling on the crotch strap.
