Southern Utah highways in 1990 are continuing the trend toward more traffic.

Every reporting station but two has reported more traffic than last year. One of the two had a slight decrease at the end of the second quarter and one logged the same amount of traffic.U.S. 6 near Green River logged the biggest increase, 13.7 percent over last year. Two sections of I-15, one near Scipio, Millard County, and the other south of St. George, recorded increases greater than 12 percent.

A slight traffic decrease of 2.7 percent with 3,524 daily vehicles was recorded on Alternate U.S. 89 south of Kanab. The highway with the same percentage figure and daily traffic of 761 vehicles was U-21 west of Beaver.
