Elsie Twila Wilkerson Prior, 68, passed away October 22, 1990 at a Provo hospital
Born April 8, 1922 in Neola, Utah to Walter Newport and Zella LuDean Keel Wimmer. She married John E. Wilkerson December 2, 1938 in Salt Lake City; he died September 5, 1969. Married John B. Prior March 24, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her positive attitude and love for life will have a lasting influence on her family and friends. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions. She was employed several years ago at O.C. Tanner.She is survived by her husband, John B. Prior, Provo; children and their spouses, Darwin and Dorothy Wilkerson, Delite Forrest, all West Valley City; Clarence and Barbara Prior Haynie, Orem; Don and Vicki Prior Whetzel, Murray; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, and their spouses, Bacil Keel, Randalett, Utah; Daniel and LeDean Boel, Murray; Lorraine Segmiller, St. George; Earl and Ravola Whittle, West Valley City; Maurice and VernaLee Burton, Salt Lake City; preceded in death by brothers, Elwood N. Wimmer and Davon K. Wimmer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 1990 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road; where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
