James (Jim) Thomson, age 72, passed away Saturday, October 20, 1990 in a Bountiful nursing home.

He was born March 30, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Kenneth and Bertha Brown Thomson. He married Lucile Mary Holmes, March 21, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He graduated from South High School. He was employed by G.E. Supply, Remington Arms, Tennessee Eastman at Oak Ridge, Tenn., Graybar Electric and National Electric. He operated the businesses of Electrical Representatives and ERCO, Inc. He has served in the Sunday School, Mutual and Scouting. Golf, skiing, fishing and hunting have been a big part of his life.He is survived by his wife of Kaysville; two sons, James Lynn and wife, Linda, of Layton; Roger H. and wife, Dale, of Kaysville; two daughters, L. Pamela and husband, LeVar Thompson, Kaysville; Shirley Ann and husband, William Lynn Weight, Rigby, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Carbine, Lehi; LaRue and husband, Richard Smuin, Kaysville; two sister-in-laws, Corine Thomson, Brigham City; Patricia Thomson, Bountiful. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ken and Don.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 1990 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main St., where friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
