The Salt Lake Golden Eagles used five different scorers Tuesday night to break a three-game losing streak as they defeated the Kansas City Blades, 5-2.

Despite being outshot by the Blades 17-4, the Eagles took a 2-1 lead in the first period. Salt Lake outshot Kansas City 24-15 over the last two periods.Eagles veterans Darryl Olsen and Brian Glynn picked up their first goals of the season and Marc Bureau registered a power play against Blades' goalie Kerry Clark to score the final goal of the game.

"We had a discussion with five of our veterans yesterday," said Eagles coach Bobby Francis, "and we discussed the fact that we do have a buch of younger guys and they're going to have to take it upon themselves to show the way. I can't commend the experienced guys enough . . . they were a big reason we won tonight."
