First lady Barbara Bush will come to Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Oct. 31, to stump for Republican congressional candidate Genevieve Atwood.

Atwood said Bush will attend an "Atwood for Congress" rally at the Marriott Hotel at 2:15 p.m."I am so pleased that Mrs. Bush has offered to come to Salt Lake City on my behalf," Atwood said. "I think her visit shows that this is an important campaign for Utah and our nation."

Atwood is challenging Democratic incumbent Wayne Owens for the 2nd Congressional District seat.
