Vernon Elwood Gunn, 85, of Ogden, Utah, and formerly of Evanston, Wyoming and Echo, Utah died October 24, 1990 in Ogden, Utah from cancer.

Born June 6, 1905 in Randolph, Utah. He married Adelia Katherine Brewer on September 19, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1956. After graduating from Rich High School, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired after 41 years of service. He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a counselor in the Echo Branch Presidency, Scoutmaster and basketball coach. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock hunting and sports. He was a member of the U.P. Old Timers and the Evanston Senior Citizens.He is survived by his wife, Adelia, of Ogden, Utah and three sons, Douglas V. and Rodney A., both of Ogden, Utah and Dennis E. of Orem, Utah. Also one sister Mildred Condos, Evanston, Wyo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyoming. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Evanston Cemetery.
