Here are a few reminders hunters should be aware of:

Hunting Hours - Daylight hours are the period between one-half hour before official sunrise to one-half hour after official sunset.Hunter Orange - Each hunter must wear a minimum of 400 square inches of hunter orange florescent on his head, check and back.

Tagging - All animals must be tagged immediately after kill and before being moved. The tag must be completely detached from the permit or license and appropriate notches completely removed to correspond with date of kill and sex of animal.

Evidence of Sex - The evidence of sex - head or sex organs - must remain attached to the carcass. With animals that have been quartered, evidence must be attached to the largest portion.

Transporting animals - Big game animals can be transported anywhere within the state by permit holder only.

Big game contests - It is unlawful for any part of a big game animal to enter a contest or competition where payment or prizes in excess of $500 is awarded.
