Joseph R. Aguayo, Sr., age 73, our devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, died October 22, 1990, Price hospital.

Born January 14, 1917, Carthage ,New Mexico, son of Francisco and Luz Martinez Aguayo. Married Emily Silva, January 14, 1943, Sacred Heart Church, Gallup, New Mexico. She died July 26, 1987. A faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, East Carbon since 1946. Served with U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Former employee Kaiser Steel Coal Mine, Sunnyside. Retired member UMWA, Local #9958. Member East Carbon American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and dancing. He will be dearly missed by his many friends who shared his friendship "Vaya Con Dios".Survived by five daughters, two sons and their spouses, Isabelle and Roman Vega, Helper; Anita and Dennis Salazar, Mary Alice and Eddie Garcia, Joseph R., Jr. and Mae Aguayo, Emilio F. and Mary Ellen Aguayo, Rita and Peter Elkface, Erlinda and John Espinosa, all Price; 22 grandchildren; three brothers, three sisters, Able Aguayo, Sunnyside; Leonard Aguayo, San Diego, California; Anthony Aguayo, Rose Cardova, Connie Lopez, Anita Muniz, all Gallup, New Mexico.

Funeral Mass Thursday, 10 a.m., Good Shepherd Catholic Church, East Carbon, Vigil Services Wednesday 7 p.m., friends may call Mitchell Chapel Wednesday one hour prior to vigil service at the Church. Committal Service, Price City Cemetery.
