Myrleen Henrie Simpson, 71, former Ogden resident, died Thursday, October 18, 1990 at her home in Mesa, Arizona.
She was born December 21, 1918 in Provo; a daughter of Sheriff Marshall and Leona Jones Henrie. She married Robert E. Simpson on June 28, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he died in 1972. She had lived in Ogden from 1940-1958. She graduated from Provo High School and BYU in the 1930's. She had been self employed at Myrleen's Dress Shop and also a doll and gift shop in Salem, Oregon. She was a member of the LDS Church and active in the various auxiliaries.Surviving are one son and four daughters, Robert H. Simpson, Mesa, Arizona; Pat Simpson, San Francisco, California; Kay Lee Ball, Vancouver, Washington; Mrs. Michael (Lynna) Taylor, Saratoga, California; Janet Myrleen Rogers, Toronto, Canada; 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill S. Henrie and Keith W. Henrie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. in the Larkin & Sons Mortuary 496 24th Street, Ogden; where friends may call Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment Brigham City Cemetery.
