Jim Stevens has succeeded Larry Campbell as Utah State University Extension Service agent for Millard County. Jody Gail will continue to work in the extension program as crop-production specialist while Stevens' assignment will be in livestock and dairy.
The new agent will spend Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Delta area and office and Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Fillmore area. He can be contacted in Delta by calling 864-4377 and in Fillmore at 743-5412.Stevens' family will continue to live in Ecuador until a son completes high school. The agent worked in beef and dairy agricultural assignments in that country and in Bolivia.
Stevens was raised on a ranch in the Uintah Basin and graduated from Utah State University in 1972 with a degree in animal science. He worked as an Extension Service county agent in San Juan County and was working in Duchesne County before moving to South America.
Campbell said he will work with farmers and ranchers in livestock and dairy-education programs, welcoming comment from producers.
