Descendants of Norwegians and other Scandinavians in the Salt Lake area will celebrate Leif Erikson Day on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2500 E. 3900 South.

A movie will be shown supporting the belief that Norwegians discovered America long before Columbus. Refreshments will be served. The public is welcome. The Sons of Norway Leif Erikson Lodge is asking for donations of $2 for adults and $1 for children. For more information, call Elaine, 292-5806.
