SHARE ANNUAL NIGHT WITH THE RUNNIN’ UTES

Rick Majerus, University of Utah head basketball coach, will introduce his 1990-91 Runnin' Utes to the public on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in Huntsman Center. The event is free to the public.

The evening's events will include a display of drills used by the Utes in their daily practices and an intra-squad scrimmage.Junior forward Josh Grant and senior center Walter Watts are the two returning starters leading the Utes into the 1990-91 season. Grant averaged 16.5 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game to lead Utah in both categories last year. Grant earned second team All-Western Athletic Conference last year and was selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches to the All-District 13 second team. Watts scored 10.9 points per game and pulled down an average of 5.4 rebounds during the 1989-90 season.

Also returning from last year's squad are junior letterman Craig Rydalch and sophomore lettermen Larry Cain and Jimmy Soto. Redshirt freshman Phil Dixon, who averaged 10.1 points in the six games he played before injuring his calf, also returns.
