The fourth annual buffalo roundup at Antelope Island will be held Monday, Nov. 5, when helicopters and other vehicles will begin moving the animals into corrals. They will be kept in the holding area over the following three days, after which they will be weighed, vaccinated and tested.
A sale of excess buffalo will be held Nov. 14, and a hunt is scheduled for Dec. 1-5. Five resident and one non-resident permits were drawn in June, and the animals to be hunted will be from a selected group to be culled.For more information, contact the Division of Parks and Recreation at 538-7220.
