The Southern Utah State College physical science department is planning another Colorado River trip through the Grand Canyon.

"Many people were disappointed that they were unable to go this past August, so a second trip has been arranged for the spring - March 18 to 23," said Dr. Steven Heath, associate professor of physical sciences at SUSC.The cost of the trip is $995 and includes bus transportation from Cedar City to Lee's Ferry, camping and sleeping facilities, all meals, lemonade and water on the rafts, a waterproof guide to the river and its history, the helicopter ride to Bar 10 Lodge, professional outfitters and boatmen from Adventures West, lectures and the return bus trip to Cedar City.

A $150 deposit is needed for the trip and should be paid as soon as possible since spaces are filling quickly, Heath said. A second payment of $250 is due on Oct. 15, with the final payment of $600 due on Jan. 10.
