The Loren Kahn Puppet Theatre from Albuquerque, N.M., will be in Utah for four engagements during the coming week, presenting concerts in the following places:

The troupe's program, "You Can Lead a Horse to Water, if You've Got a Horse," is a collection of vignettes and short plays appealing to adults and children alike. Character vignettes include Natalia, a Jewish grandmother and teller of tales, riddles and dreams, and Sparagoo, a medieval raconteur; also short plays such as "The Fox and the Buffalo," a Cado Indian story with shadow puppets, and "How Cat and Bear Went into Business," a Czechoslovakian tale.
Loren Kahn has been in puppetry since 1973, as a street performer, solo touring attraction, member of several puppet theater companies, and director of her own permanent theater in Albuquerque. She frequently tours the Southwest. Utah presenters are assisted by funds from the Utah Arts Council Performing Arts Tour.
