The almost bewildering array of dental and oral care products are being simplified in Denmark through interactive, computerized "dental advisers," according to a recent retailing report.

The battery-operated units are located on the shelves of dental care displays, notes Intermark Corp., New York designer-producer of the computerized information center. They assist shoppers in their selection of toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, picks and mouthwashes through a simple process. The dental advisers offer recommendations on an easy-to-read liquid crystal screen after customers using push buttons have answered a series of yes-or-no questions.

The unit also furnishes medical reminders for effective oral care.
