Howard LeRoy Thacker, 77, died December 21, 1990 at his home.
Born July 27, 1913 in Milburn, Wyoming to LeRoy and Weltha Osborn Thacker. Married Lela Fay Mott November 28, 1936 in Duchesne, Utah; solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple July 25, 1987. He worked as a mechanic/welder for the Utah State Road Dept. for over 35 years. Following his retirement, he operated a small engine repair business. He loved to garden. Active member of the LDS Church.Survived by his wife, Lela, Price; three daughters and two sons, Thelda Wimmer, Price; Arbra Johnson, West Valley City; Nedra Seal, Clinton; Lonnie Thacker; and Stan Thacker, both Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; six sisters and four brothers, LaRue Stevenson, Altamont; Stella Davies, Pattie Richards, and Lorna Merkley, all Salt Lake City; Delma Mayberry, California; Annie Lee Matthews, Roosevelt; Wesley Thacker; and James Thacker, both Altamont; Fred Thacker, Hooper; and Alton Thacker, Orem. Preceded in death by son, William LeRoy Thacker.
Funeral services Monday, December 24, 11 a.m., Price 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 300 West 500 South. Friends may call at Faucett Mortuary, Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward one hour prior to the funeral. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
