Ivy Matthews Draper, age 87, died December 20, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She gave everything and asked for nothing.

Born December 13, 1903 in Bennion (Salt Lake County), Utah to Harry W. and Minnie Palmer Matthews. Married Asa J. Draper on August 15, 1934 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He died April 6, 1963. She served for 30 years as ward organist of the 24th LDS Ward, Salt Lake Stake. Currently serving as name-extractor in Cottonwood 2nd Ward. For 20 years has been a foster grandmother at Hartvigsen School.Survived by sons and daughters, Ila Hodgson, Bountiful, Utah; A. Jay (wife Jane) Draper of Boise, Idaho; Ivlyn (Mrs. Oleen) Shuman; LaMat (Mrs. Deal) Griggs; and Walter M. (wife Kathy) Draper, all of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Hofeldt; and a brother, Sidney Matthews.

Funeral services, Monday, December 24th, 11 am, South Cottonwood 2nd Ward, 930 East Revere Circle (5600 South). Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Sunday evening 6-8 pm, and at the Ward, Monday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the St. John (Tooele County) Cemetery.
