Camille Steed Zahmel, 57, of Logan, died peacefully Christmas morning, December 25, 1990, after a valiant fight with a long illness.

She was born April 27, 1933 in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Rulon James and Genevieve Leona Stewart. She married William A. Zahmel, Jr., on September 4, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died August 5, 1980. Camille touched many peoples lives with her beautiful singing, her warmth and love for life and everyone.She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Larry B. (Debra) Clayton, West Jordan; Mrs. Ed (Lynette) Erickson, Centerville; William (Billy) A. Zahmel, III, American Fork; James H. Zahmel, Logan; three grandsons, Nathan, Daniel and David and one granddaughter, Charity; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. William (Cherryle) Orrock; Rulon James Steed, Jr.; Mrs. Walter (Julianne) White; Marlin Steed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon, in the North 16th Ward Chapel (125 West 600 North) with Bishop Allen Thorne conducting. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment, Logan City Cemetery.
