Albert Henry Price, age 95, passed away December 25, 1990, at his home in Culver City, California.
Born February 17, 1895 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Joseph Edward and Wilhelmina Priestley Price. Married Margaret Kendall Owen, December 30, 1922, in Farmington, Utah; later solemnized in the Latter-day Saint Logan LDS Temple. A veteran of World War I, serving in France and Germany, he later commanded Marina Post 348 of the American Legion and was a member of the "40 et 8" Honor Society. An ardent sportsman, he excelled in handball at the Deseret Gym. Attended LDS University. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he lived in Salt Lake City's Emerson Ward, the old 20th Ward and the 21st Ward. Later, in California, he served as Bishop of the San Francisco Ward. In 1964-65 he and his wife served a mission for the church in Ireland and on the Isle of Man. In 1960 he retired as Assistant Cashier Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, after 40 years of service. He was a devoted husband and father.He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years; two sons, Dr. Kendall Owen Price and wife, Deon, Culver City, California; Albert Keith Price and wife, Ofa, San Diego, California; sister, Gladys Pierce, Citrus Heights, California; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; four nieces. A daughter, Patria Jean Warrington, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3400 Sawtelle Blvd., West Los Angeles, Friday, December 28, 11 a.m., with viewing at 10 a.m. Also at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Monday, December 31, 12 Noon, with viewing at 11 a.m. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution to the charity of their choice in his name.
