Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and neighbor Brent D. Hall peacefully passed away December 27, 1990 in Salt Lake City at the age of 95.

He was born April 5, 1895 in Nephi, Utah to Charles Alma and Sarah Lacey Vickers Hall. He married May Jane (Jennie) Carter, July 11, 1917, in the Manti Temple. She passed away December 13, 1974. He was a devoted and active member of the LDS Church having fulfilled many leadership positions in Nephi and later in the Bonneville Ward in Salt Lake City. As an active member, he loved missionary work and took every opportunity to support any missionary effort. He fulfilled an honorable mission to the Texas-Louisiana mission form 1944-1945. He served, along with his wife, as chairman of the Bonneville Ward genealogy committee. He served has High Priest group leader and worked as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for many years before his health failed and he was unable to continue.Three months after their marriage, he was inducted into the U.S. Army and was immediately sent to France where he served for 18 months during World War I. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain and was very proud of his military service. He owned and operated the City Meat Market in Nephi Utah until they moved to Salt Lake City where they lived in the Bonneville Ward for 44 years. In Salt Lake, he worked at the Military Arms Plant and then for the Newspaper where he worked in the credit department. He served in this position until he was 80 years old. He always served well and was very conscientious, honest and appreciated for his service.

He was a good neighbor and friend. He always had time to serve and to help the widows on his street. He has been a good example and teacher and has left us a rich and noble heritage.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lemonte (Alice) Peterson, Mrs. Norman D. (Lucille) Ockey, Mrs. Elman K. (Sara) Ellsworth, all Salt Lake, and Mrs. Grant F. (Jackie) Farnsworth, Provo, Utah; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 1990 at 2 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 So. 200 East, Salt Lake. Friends are invited to meet with the family one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Vinebluff Cemetery in Nephi on Wednesday, January 2, 1991 at 12:30 p.m.
