Weber State College has been awarded a two-year membership to Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges, a partnership with the military designed to provide educational opportunities to active duty service members.

According to Steve Kime, SOC director, Weber State is one of 650 SOC colleges and universities. He said membership in SOC "affirms fair, equitable and effective policies and practices that recognize and deal with the special conditions faced by military students who want to obtain a college education."Weber State currently serves approximately 500 active duty servicemembers.
