Donald Spoto, biographer of Alfred Hitchcock, Tennessee Williams, Lotte Lenya and Preston Sturges, has signed with Harper & Row to write a book about the late Laurence Olivier. The book, "Enchantment: The Life of Laurence Olivier," is due out in October 1991 and reportedly will have lots of information from associates and friends about Olivier's declining health in his latter years. Other key topics will be Olivier's stormy marriage to Vivien Leigh and his friendships and rivalries with Marilyn Monroe, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Charlton Heston, Michael Caine and Dustin Hoffman.
