A. Grey, 29, did a play, "Bloodhounds of Broadway" with Madonna and Matt Dillon, and a TV movie, "Murder in Mississippi." Her private life included a 1987 auto accident in Ireland with then-boyfriend Matthew Broderick in which two women were killed, and engagement to Johnny Depp of "21 Jump Street." That's off.

Q. Will "Tobacco Road" ever be shown on TV again? What was the name of D.W. Griffith's blockbuster about the Civil War? Will it ever be shown on TV? - D.R.P., Buchanan, Mich.

A. John Ford's 1941 movie was a cleaned-up version of erskine Caldwell's hit play about Southern poor whites. Gene Tierney, Charley Grapewin, Ward Bond and Dana Andrews starred. It's not a popular movie and TV showings are rare. Griffith's 1915 "Birth of a Nation" is a classic but controversial because of Griffith's sympathic treatment of the Ku Klux Klan. It's available to TV but is rarely shown.

Q. What has happened to Harve Presnell, who was so perfect as Johnny Brown in "The Unsinkable Molly Brown"? - C.D., Tallahassee, Fla.

A. Presnell, now 56, did three more movies, after 1964's "Molly Brown," "The Glory Guys," "When the Boys Meet the Girls" and "Paint Your Wagon." Since then, he's done stage and concerts, including appearing on Broadway as Daddy Warbucks in "Annie." An "Annie" sequel, "Annie 2," with Presnell reprising Warbucks, bombed before it got to Broadway last December. Presnell and many of the cast will do an "Annie" revival on Broadway starting in March.

Q. I stand 5-foot-91/4. Am I taller than Woody Harrelson, Bob Newhart, Bea Arthur or any major player on "Night Court"? - J.P., Ypsilanti, Mich.

A. You top Newhart (5-foot-8) and Arthur (5-9) but Markie Post (5-6) is the only one of the tall gang on "Court" and that includes Marcia Warfield (5-11).
