The Utah County Medical Society has helped make it possible for the City-County Health Department of Utah County to provide satellite immunization clinics each week in American Fork and Payson.

These clinics are in addition to the daily immunization clinics at the main health department building in Provo and the thrice-weekly clinics in north Orem.More than a year ago, the City-County Health Department computerized all of its immunization records and therefore, because of insufficient equipment, discontinued the once-a-month satellite immunization clinics in the north and south ends of the county. With the help of Dr. Carl Bell, the County Medical Society has purchased computer terminals and modems for two satellite clinics at each end of the county.

These new clinics are held each Wednesday morning at Mountain View Hospital in Payson and each Thursday morning at American Fork Hospital. The Orem Clinic, 1600 N. State St., will continue on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings. Appointments are necessary at all clinics. Call 370-8730 for more information.
