Norman Laker Moyes, age 68, passed away March 17, 1990.

Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, April 15, 1921 to William Ruben and Minnie B. Laker Moyes. Married Bernice Elenor Hazlewood Magill, April 17, 1948. She died 1969. Avid outdoorsman. Involved with the Confederated Air Force. He loved to square dance. He first enlisted into the U.S. Army January 24, 1941 at age 19, at Vancouver Barracks in Washington. While on tour in the Phillipines he was captured in Corregador and taken prisoner of war, where he was held for three and one-half years. After his release, incredibly, he re-enlisted and served his country faithfully. He separated from the Army January 26, 1947 at McChord Field, Washington, and was given honors at his release. April 8, 1989 he received PRISONER OF WAR Medal. He had many friends who are deeply sorrowed at his passing. For he was a good man and a great friend, father, grandfather, and uncle. We will miss you Norman.Graveside services will be held Thursday, 11 AM, March 22, 1990 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Dr. Friends may call at the Fort Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, 7-9 P.M., March 21, 1990.
