Earnest E. Nolen, age 81, died March 19, 1990 in a Murray, Utah hospital.

He was born March 5, 1909 in Advance, Missouri to Benjamin F. and Maggie Hitt Nolen. He married Helen Giviatek in Edwardsville, Illinois, September 22, 1927. Later divorced. Earnest married Inez B. Eastman in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 2, 1944. Earnest was a member of the Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II, receiving an honorable discharge and a former employee of Kennecott Copper and was retired from Portland Cement Co. He managed several trailer courts after his retirement enjoying his association with people, especially his many friends at Domingez Park.Survivors: wife, Inez, Salt Lake; Earnie's son, Eugene Nolen, Beardstown, Illinois; daughter, Delores Nolen Markham, St. Louis, Missouri; niece, Mageline Panek, Salt Lake City.

Inez's son, Eric E. Eastman, Piedmont, South Carolina; daughters, Sonja A. Smith, Mill Creek, Washington; Linda E. Salisbury, Murray, Utah; there are four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 1990, 2 p.m., in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Thursday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
