Snipers fired on two buses near St. Louis early Thursday, the 16th and 17th incidents of gunmen shooting at Greyhound buses since a nationwide strike against the nation's largest intercity bus line began three weeks ago.

The shootings came a day after the company's announcement that it has expanded passenger service to about half the routes it operated before some 9,000 workers walked off their jobs March 2. No one was hurt in either incident.
