Peacefully David Ralph Taylor, age 50, passed away at home Wednesday, March 21, 1990, as a result of a brain tumor. He will be remembered as articulate and eloquent in speech and writing and for his particular organizational skills. He is admired for his quiet and uncomplaining manner and for his love and devotion to his family.
Born November 29, 1939 in Salt Lake City, a son of Ralph R. and Lavinia Molly Hewitt Taylor. Married Marcia Adamson August 10, 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served as clerk very faithfully and diligently in the Rose Park Ward, Taylorsville Central Stake, and as executive secretary in the Bountiful 46th Ward. He also served in the High Priest Group leadership and as a Sunday School teacher. Served Western States Mission, 1960-62. Received Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration Degrees from the University of Utah. He was secretary of Alpha Kappa Phi Professional Fraternity, 1963-64. Served in the Air National Guard. Employed at Utah Power & Light for 26 years where he was supervisor over Transmission Contracts Administration. David enjoyed fishing, reading, bicycling, gardening, personal record keeping and church work.Survived by wife; two sons and one daughter, Ann, Matthew, all of Bountiful; John David (J.D.) and wife Kimberly, Salt Lake City; parents, Salt Lake City; two brothers and two sisters, Dennis and wife Janice, Aiken, South Carolina; Mrs. Lynn (Becky) Jones, Nadine Morley, both of Bennion; Tim and wife Gay Taylor, West Jordan.
