Mildred "Mid" Dorrity Deeds, age 80, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully March 21, 1990 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 12, 1910, in Monroe, Utah to Dennis Samuel and Catharine Erickson Dorrity. Married Floyd W. Deeds on September 25, 1948, in Elko Nevada. Mid attended school throughout Utah, graduating from BYU in elementary education. She taught school in the Salt Lake City School District for forty years and touched the lives of many students. She was devoted to her family. Her happiest times were those spent with them. She will always be remembered for her strength of character and devotion to family. She was a member of the LDS Church, East Millcreek 8th Ward.Survived by her husband; two sons, William F. and wife, Colleen, Salt Lake City; Robert S. and wife, Marjorie, Sandy; seven grandchildren; Brittany, B.J., Joceleyn, Chase, Katie, Scotty, and Johnny, who affectionately referred to her as Nany and were the joy of her life; two brothers and one sister; Ward Dorrity, Scott Dorrity, and Bernice Jacobson. Preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Topping and Ferd Tuttle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 12 noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Friends may call at the Mortuary Friday evening, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
