The University of Utah educational administration department ranked third in the nation behind Stanford University and the University of Wisconsin at Madison in a recent nationwide survey of educational administration faculty members.

That ranking represents an advancement from the department's standing in a similar study conducted by a different academic group in 1986. In the earlier survey, the U. was ranked ninth by one subgroup of education faculty but did not make the top 10 identified by all survey respondents."This ranking reflects an increase in our research visibility and prestige," says Stephen T. Bossert, department chairman.
