Daniel Leo (Lee) Haran, died March 30, 1990 in Salt Lake City of heart failure.

He was born February 10, 1907 in Park City, Utah to Daniel H. and Kathryn Tighe Haran. Attended grade school at St. Mary's and graduated from Park City High School. Attended the University of Utah and was a charter member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In 1936 he married Ada Don in St. Mary's Church, Park City. He was employed by the power company in Park City and Rexburg, Idaho. He served a term on the Park City Council. During WW II he was a civilian employee at Peterson Field, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Hill Air Base, Ogden, Utah. He later worked for the State Tax Commission until his retirement in 1972. Member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and a member and past president of the 49er's Club. For many years he had been a member of the YMCA.Survived by his wife and three sons, James D. Haran of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Roger L. Haran of Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Nevada; and David L. Haran of Sandy. Three grandsons also survive, Shawn, Steven, and Timothy Haran; and one sister, Mrs. I.F. (Kathryn) Handley of Midvale. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel and Anna Haran; and brother, James M. Haran.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 3rd, at 10:30 am, St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. Vigil services Monday evening 6-8 pm for family and friends at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Committal service at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue & T Street, following Tuesday's Mass.
