George Bruce Nichols, beloved husband, father, son, grandson and brother, passed away Monday, April 9, 1990 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bruce was born in Ogden, Utah July 19, 1949 to George W. and Catherine Woolley Nichols. He served his country as a Naval Medical Corpsman in Naples, Italy and Viet Nam, 1967-69. He served a LDS Mission in the Japan West Fukuoka Mission, October, 1970-October, 1972. Bruce graduated from the U of U with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, 1977. He then took a position with a company in Los Angeles and began graduate work in Business Administration at Whittier College. He married Vicki Chandler of Lake Oswego, Oregon, November 20, 1978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Los Angeles where they have resided for the past 12 years. He served faithfully in numerous church positions including Elders Quorum President, Stake High Counselor, and Stake Clerk.Survived by wife, parents, Orange Park, Flor.; children, Traci, 10; Kelli, 8; Darren, 3; and Garrett, 2-weeks-old; grandmother, Ardella Wheeler Nichols, Ogden; brother, Paul W. Nichols, Orange Park, Flor.; sisters, Mrs. James (Catherine) Brown, Miami, Flor.; and Mrs. Glen (Nancy) Moyes, Salt Lake.

Funeral services where held at the Baseline LDS Chapel in Alta Loma, Calif., April 12, 1990. A funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 3 p.m., Lindquist Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
