Two new vans are serving Sevier County's senior citizens, purchased at a cost of $27,796.

The vans were financed mostly from government sources and purchased to meet the transportation needs of older citizens. One van is equipped with a wheelchair lift. It will be used by senior-citizen groups and by the care center. The vehicles were purchased from Chrysler Corp., through a Salt Lake dealer.

Plans call for the care center to use the vans on Mondays. Senior-citizen centers in Richfield, Salina and Koosharem will use them Tuesdays through Fridays. They also will be available for rental to other organizations.
