Three 15-year-old boys were apprehended Wednesday morning following an early morning crime spree in Bountiful and North Salt Lake.

Five vehicles were stolen and damaged, two cars were vandalized and at least 10 were burglarized. In addition, rocks were thrown at two residences and a city cemetery building, and numerous garbage cans were run over."Basically, we had three wild kids terrorizing the city from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.," said Bountiful Police Sgt. Grant Hodgson.

The sergeant was responding to a call of suspicious activity in the area of 1300 East and 500 South when he spotted juveniles near Rocket Park. The boys fled on foot, but police were able to capture one, who led officers to the other two.

The youths were booked into the Moweda Juvenile Detention Center in Roy for investigation of auto theft, auto burglary and criminal mischief.

Hodgson said two motorcycles, a Volkswagen, an Isuzu Trooper and a pickup truck were stolen. "They took (the vehicles) up into the foothills and chased each other around. The vehicles suffered major damage."
