SHARE WINDS UPROOT 60-FOOT TREE

Hurricane-force winds, estimated at between 70 and 90 mph, uprooted a 60-foot-tall tree in the Farmington City Cemetery and hurled a trampoline through a North Ogden residence early Tuesday.

Dave Whyte, Farmington parks director, said the high winds, which continued through the night, caused quite a bit of damage to homes east of the cemetery.In North Ogden a trampoline was blown into the living room window of the Kent O. Kidman residence at 3207 N. Mountain Road.

Meteorologists at the Salt Lake office of the National Weather Service said winds had abated Wednesday. The forecast calls for mostly cloudy weather with a chance of showers Wednesday night. Thursday will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers.
