Kelly Grow helps his children Katie and Cory carry their homemade kite across Sugarhouse Park Saturday afternoon. The 68-inch Delta kite took first place in the "biggest kite" category at the fifth annual Great Kite Flight event sponsored by Salt Lake City Parks and Recreation. Although winds were a bit gusty, more than 40 kites entered the competition and decorated the overcast sky with a variety of colors and shapes. Prizes were awarded for the biggest, smallest, highest, most unique, youngest flier, oldest flier and most colorful kite. Gusty winds are expected to continue Sunday and Monday, with a chance of more showers or thundershowers like those that dampened the valley Saturday evening. Highs should be near 70; lows 45-50.
