DON’T EXPECT ADULTS TO GO BANANAS OVER NEW QUIK FLAVOR

Nestle Quik now comes in an artificial banana flavor. The 16 oz. can retails for $1.93.

Kay Hadley: "This product truly speaks for itself! Nestle chocolate-flavored Quik disappears almost instantly at our house, but a small container of banana Quik lasted six weeks. The opionion at our house is: It's too sweet and tastes very artificial."Don Russell: "I go for banana flavored drinks and Quik proved to be no exception. Our children especially enjoyed this new version of Quik. We liked the overall flavor although it's a little on the sweet side. My wife thought the color was a little too stark, but it didn't faze the kids and me. Go ahead and try banana Quik if you or your children like these types of beverages."

Doris Wilding: "I didn't even try this because I thought it sounded and smelled terrible, so I left the testing up to my kids. Much to my surprise everyone of them liked it! They tried it in plain milk and thought it was good and then made banana shakes out of it with ice cream which they thought was superb. Buy it; your kids will love it, but don't serve it to adults."

Judy Slack Hedrick: "Banana Quik isn't as good as chocolate Quik and it isn't as good as strawberry Quik. The kids would only drink it if they were desperate. It's better than plain milk - sort of. It really could have been better."

Edyth Jensen: "If you like artificial banana-flavored foods you will likely go for this. I usually don't like banana flavoring except in a banana pudding (with real bananas), but I can handle this once in a while. The rest of the family quite liked it. It is priced about the same as the chocolate mixes."

Linda C. Tingey: "The banana Quik is still sitting in my cupboard. My youngest son liked it, but nobody else will drink it. This is the first time I've ever had a drink mix just sit in my cupboard!"

Conclusion: Nestle may have slipped on a banana peel on this new drink mix. You may find a few adults who tolerate it, one who actually likes it and a few kids who truly love it. But quite a number also said, "Bleagh!"
