Warren Edward Pugh, 80, passed away April 25, 1990.

Born December 21, 1909 in Salt Lake City, to William and Eva Murphy Pugh. Married Leta Curtis, September 1, 1933, in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He graduated from LDS Business College, attended University of Utah, Stevens Heneger Business College, and had received Honorary Doctorate from University of Utah. He was a member of The House Of Representatives 1959-60. Member Utah State Senate 1967-86. Majority Leader Utah Senate 1969-70. President Utah Senate 1973-74. He is the founder of Cummins Intermountain Inc., February 1942. Chairman of Executive Committee Cummins Intermountain Inc. President of Industrial Development and Sales Corp. Secretary of the Cummins Northwest Inc. Member Board of Directors, Turf Equipment Co. Emeritus Member University of Utah National Advisory Council. Chairman, Board of Trustees LDS Hospital. Former Secretary Utah Motor Transport Association. President Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce 1972-73. Member of numerous boards and committees.Presently member of LDS Church General Audit Committee; Patriarch of the Holladay South Stake; former member High Council, Holladay South Stake; former President Northern California Mission; former member of the General Sunday School Board; former Bishop Holladay Eight Ward.

Survived by his wife and three children, Robert and Carol Matheson, Sandy; Lorin and Judy Pugh, Sandy; Donald and Jane Pugh, Bellevue, Washington; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Beatrice Willis, Mesa, Arizona; Marvin R. Pugh, Holladay; Paul L. and Kenneth L. Pugh, Salt Lake City; Ruth Kenner, Hillsborough, Oregon; Beth Ivie, Murray. Preceded in death by a son, Richard Warren and brother, Glenn.

Family suggests contributions to the Deseret Foundation at LDS Hospital.

Funeral Services Saturday, 11 a.m., Holladay South Stake Center, 4917 Viewmont Street. Friends may call Friday, 6-9 p.m. at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. and Saturday 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary.
